The 35 storey tower takes its name from a waveform exterior designed to provide all residents with panoramic views of the ocean and area around Surfer’s Paradise. The building’s architect, the Gold Coast firm DBI Design, took their inspiration from the idea of ‘a ribbon caught in a stream, wrapping around a stick’.

The geometry of the deign is derived from the curved patterns created in the estuarine marsh sands due to the effects of the coastal tidal flows and reflects the imprint which the environment creates on the natural Australian landscape.
